Where do I start?
Complete the lux or DIY booking form through the website with your event details. We will respond back to you within 48hrs with availability.
Can I hold the date I want and plan the details I want later?
Absolutely! Your date is what you want to lock in ASAP as they get booked up quickly. We will send you an invoice so you can pay your 50% deposit and we can hold that date for you.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We ask that you book ASAP to help us save your date and the picnic decor. However, we do understand that fun plans come up last minute, so you can book 5 days prior to your DIY picnic. Lux larks are subject to availability. For last minute bookings, the full amount will need to be paid within 24hrs.
Do you do weddings or larger events?
Absolutely! We welcome the opportunity to bring the picnic scene to an intimate wedding or celebration of 30 people or less. We have a list of several preferred vendors and can provide an all inclusive event planning package.
Do you have food options?
We have vetted several amazing YYC food vendors and catering companies to coordinate amazingly with your event. Mouth watering food options ranging from brunch, high tea, the cutest little dessert boxes and charcuterie. Looking for something more elaborate for the culinary side of your picnic, we’ve got you covered and can cater to your requirements. Additional charges apply for all food service coordination.
Where can I have a picnic?
We are based in Calgary, AB and serve locations within Calgary’s city limits. If you have a picturesque location beyond these areas please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate but travel charges will apply. As for the great locations for a picnic: your backyard or ask us about the select locations we’ve scouted in the city that create that dreamy backdrop. Additional fees may apply for site bookings in city parks, travel expenses, and out of town day business licenses.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand life can throw you some curve balls. We kindly request 30 days notice for cancellation to receive a full refund. A notice of less than 30 days will forgo the 50% deposit.
Do you provide rainchecks?
We get it, we’re in Calgary and weather is unpredictable as such we require the client to source a back up venue in the event of inclement weather. Where possible, we will work with you on coordinating another location (inside or with tents/additional cover from the elements).
